Kylie Howell entered the insurance and reinsurance industry in 1996 and has spent the past 13 years developing her career in numerous roles in the Australian and UK markets. Her latest focus has been on binder audits where she has performed numerous reviews of Australian and New Zealand coverholder’s and third party claims administrators for both Lloyd’s and company markets. Classes of business have included property, liability, motor, equine, bloodstock and livestock, philatelic and numismatic, professional indemnity, accident and health, mortgage impairment, and jewellers block.
Kylie has participated in reinsurance inspections in all major classes of business in Australia, the UK, mainland Europe and the USA. In addition, she has extensive experience in commutation negotiation, claims management, dispute resolution, and has assisted in the development and implementation of a claims agreement process for a recent scheme of arrangement.
Job Summary
Kylie began her career with Australian insurer and reinsurer, GIO, and saw her take on various roles in the claims, commutation and audit sections of the company. In 2006, Kylie was selected to be seconded to London to work on a UK based scheme of arrangement. While in London she was also assigned to assist QBE Europe in the development of a dedicated commutation team. Kylie returned to Australia in 2008 and took up a role with a Sydney-based consultancy firm, where she specialised in conducting Coverholder and TPA audits on behalf of Lloyd’s and London Market companies before moving to Cranmore Adjusters (Australia) Pty Ltd.
